Labor Day

Though I don't have any pictures from this long weekend, we definitely had a good time! Saturday morning was spent at the local farmer's market. The girls and I enjoyed walking around and buying local produce to use in our apple pie and for our dinner. We were so happy to have dinner as a family (and for 3 nights in a row)! Sunday took us to Springfield to visit with Aunt Diane (Patrick's side of the family) and Granny. It's hard to believe that Granny is just shy of 92! You could tell she enjoyed goofing around with the great grandkids and we enjoyed our visit. We spent lunch with the Shaffer family and then headed home. The girls took a short snooze and then we were off again but this time so Patrick and I could have a date! The best part about having friends with kids is they understand when you just need a night out! Our girls LOVE the Sessor girls and as they all get older, play dates are less work for the grown ups! Patrick and I had a great time out, just doing nothing. Monday brought us an afternoon spent with good friends. All parents need a chance to hang out with other 'parent friends' and just laugh and have a good time and we did just that! Sunday evening was spent watching Sophia and Nora play on the swing set and trying to chase down rabbits. What a great holiday weekend!

I will post a few pictures, just for fun!
