Parts of a Shepherd Summer

Rather than try and make a post out of each part of our summer, here it is in a nutshell!

The Memorial Day parade
It was SOOOO hot! Look at Nora's red cheeks!

Eating outside with the cousins (Memorial Day)

In April, our newest niece was born.
Madilynn Beth Zainea
This was the first time the girls got to see her!

Thatchy T and his Daddy on vacation
 Jack's mohawk
 Arg!

"Touch a Truck" at Homestead Park
The kids could climb inside all sorts of different vehicles ranging from police cars (below) to semi trucks, fire trucks and tractors. It was very neat!

Sophia and Nora playing Little People House which happens to be a favorite!

Lunch on the patio

The Sessor's have an awesome bounce house that the kids LOVE!

And more vacation pictures! We had a great time in the Outer Banks with the Shaffer's, Yirak's, Ed, Maw and Pat!

Nora & paint....enough said!

Broken arm, round 2 :(

Waiting at Children's for Sophia to have her arm set and casted

The next day
(She actually LOVED that pink cast!)

4th of July parade

We thought we would give potty training a try, she's back in diapers :)

 Mani-pedi night!

"Look mom!" Bye bye pink cast!

Hello waterproof cast!

A few weeks later we said "BYE BYE" to the waterproof cast too! We are so grateful that a) she broke her arm AFTER the beach vacation b) for the wonderful doctors, nurses and technicians to worked with us and c) that Sophia healed beautifully (again)!

On our way home from the cast removal! She needed her cousins for moral support :)  (and Manda needed a sitter!)

Nora had her first haircut this summer!

So other than birthdays, which deserve their own posts, these pictures summed up our summer!
